CTRL

CTRL was born a little bit more than ten years ago. First it was all about skateboarding, deep roots, illusion, tee-shirts, loose attitudes and chasing tail in Helsinki, Finland. Then about 3 years ago CTRL jumped into the fashion world, or "street fashion", well, something like that anyway, realizing that the best way to get attention from the hottest girls is by running a fashion label. And they really do fall for that. And oh boy it's just fabulous.

Since them CTRL has done quite a few clothing lines, 12 or 13 and a lot of skateboarding hard goods, parties, secret social gatherings and such.

Creative director Freeman is responsible for graphic design, clothing design and marketing with a little help from Claudia Cifu, and visionary Esa Hytonen is responsible for sales, international affairs and business planning, with a little help from Timothy Kuhn.

CTRL has a fresh, unique and innovative style in graphics and the designs are usually, or always something unexpected. CTRL is all about things that are oxymoron, realizing that there's a way of combining the possible with the impossible. A great yin-yang way.

The core philosophy of CTRL, including the growing belief in universal love, must be that CTRL has no intentions on staying as "an exclusive, small, cool brand" - instead CTRL wants to be A HUGE, COOL BRAND.

Too cool for school.
